Paula Valinoti
Paula Valinoti has loved photography ever since her mother put a brownie camera into her hands. Perseverance, and retirement to Oriental, have helped her to take this art form to new heights that are uniquely individual, especially with the advent of the digital technology. “I’m a purist at heart about many things, including photography, but when one loves the medium as much as I do, to not explore digital technology very limiting. The possibilities are truly endless!”
Her artistic accomplishments include recognition by the Beaufort Arts Council with a 2nd Place award, plus two Honorable Mentions in their juried show in same year. She also took another 2nd the BAC in 2010 in the Traditional Monochrome category. The OWC Arts Festival has awarded Paula many 1sts and a successful shot at The Best in State. However, she thinks that her greatest honor comes when someone “sees and loves my work, and who appreciates Photography as an art form, but more importantly a ‘record’ of a moment in ‘time and life,’ and the personal expression of that by the photographer!” Paula’s signed originals and archival photography is offered at The Village Gallery in Oriental, NC. |
