Lynn is a North Carolina native who is known for her baskets woven with long leaf pine needles. The tradition of weaving is normally passed down to the next generation which is how Lynn learned by being taught by her mother. It is because of her mother’s patience, Lynn learned and made her first basket. The Seminole Indians were one of the first to make pine needle baskets which were used for food storage because of the air circulation. The Village Gallery is proud to exhibit Lynn's work because it is so important that traditions like this continue. Lynn is a resident artist at the Village Gallery in Oriental, NC, and we invite you to come and see the artistry Lynn has put into her beautiful baskets.
