Ken Moore

After many years of being a hobby artist, I decided to start selling my artwork.  I enjoy painting landscapes and seascapes; however, I can and will adapt my artwork to any images I find pleasing.

In 2016 my family and I moved from Southern New England to the coast of North Carolina and as a result I focus my paintings on my experiences of my new location.

I primarily paint with Golden acrylics, although I will dabble in oils on occasion.  I paint on a variety of surfaces.  I work both in my studio and on location (Plein Air).

My art is unique in the fact of it's based upon what I find pleasing in my surroundings.  It's mostly a representational style of seascapes, landscapes and interesting skies where I focus on capturing the image and mood of the scene.

I am a member of:
  • Beaufort Historical Association
  • Jacksonville Council for the Arts
  • North Carolina Plein Air Painters
  • North Carolina Marine Arts Guild
  • Onslow Outdoor Painting Society
  • Seekonk Artists Network
  • Carteret County Arts Council

"After stepping outside of the Village Gallery on a late November evening, I saw a great sunset and some wonderful reflections on the water. The scene just called out to me wanting to be painted."
