After working for 30 years as a speech language pathologist in schools and launching 4 children, I now have time for experimentation and the freedom to try new and different mixed media materials ... an elephant with sea glass tusks, why not?
Most of my work relates to the ocean but on occasion a moose or another unexpected object makes it way on to my canvas or wood. I like to use easily found objects or recycled materials to embellish both my original artwork or prints. This gives every thing I paint a unique status.
Currently my work is shown in three galleries in and around the Outer Banks. Eastern North Carolina has welcomed my unique art forms and with a little success under my belt my confidence and desire to go outside the net is constantly growing,.
I am happy to be living in the community of Oriental and am thrilled to be part of the Village Gallery.
