Janet Jaworski
Janet Jaworski's approach to painting is all about color. What draws viewers to her painting is how she uses color to create vibrancy and harmony all at the same time. As an oil painter she uses thin layers of paint to build her paintings up. Since relocating to the North Carolina coast 12 years ago her subject matter encompasses waves, marshes, an especially shore birds. Her shore birds especially egrets, blue herons and pelicans are portraits full of personality.
Janet is a former art director and designer who worked for a number of organizations for 25 years. Moving to North Carolina allowed her to direct her energies into painting and become part of the artistic community along the shore. Two years ago she opened her own gallery, Impressions Gallery in Morehead City with her husband David. But the Village Gallery in Oriental has had her as a featured artist for seven years and each year she stives to bring in new exciting work.
David Jaworski
A physician by training the relocation to the coast allowed his hobby for photography to blossom into another profession. His interest in wildlife and outdoor photography has grown tremendously since moving to North Carolina 12 years ago. Primarily self taught, he has spent countless hours working with his manual setting to transform the images he captures of the water, sky and shorebirds into what he calls magic. It is all about capturing the right moment and being ready
